Hastings Museum contains a rich and exotic mixture of fine paintings and china, the cultures of other lands, well-known personalities such as John Logie Baird and Robert Tressell, and a contrasting view of local wildlife today and as it would have been 150 million years ago.
The
Fisherman's Museum is found on Rock-A-Nore, housed in the old fisherman's
church (it is still used today for baptisms and christenings in the fisherman
community) It houses the history of maritime Hastings, and a whole boat
sits in it's centre (of which you can climb aboard). Open every day of
the year except Christmas day, admission is free, and is well worth a
visit during your exploration of Hastings Old Town.
